H&M Yorkdale Mall Window Magic, October 2012
Shopping is always a little therapeutic activity. Shopping that also gives back qualifies you as a philanthropist, and therefore you are satisfying your own need and the needs of others. (Insert tennis clap here). It's truly a win-win. Today marks the launch of the All For Children campaign, an H&M collaboration with Unicef, the leading charitable organization for children.
What You Should Know
Helena Helmersson, H&M's Head of Sustainability, explains the project here. In total H&M will contribute USD $7.99 million to the project, which is H&M’s biggest donation to community investment to date. In addition, 25% of all sales from this collection will go to UNICEF’s work with All for Children in Bangladesh.
What You Really Want To Know
The collection is ridiculously whimsical - think fairy tale animals and and magic capes. There is a nod to Bjork also - do you see it? I don't think you have to worry about your daughter getting that reference. But you should worry about getting to H&M to get your hands on the pink dress ooh and the yellow one too. The patent Doc Marten-esque boots with the bright laces are pretty sharp too. Those little orange boxes we used to wear on Hallowe'en night are SO 2011. H&M All For Children IS the new orange box. Carry on...
