My Q&A with Greta Constantine

Kirk Pickersgill & Stephen Wong of Greta Constantine. Photo by George Pimentel.

As fearless designers, brand magnets and epic party hosts, Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong are a Canadian fashion force unlike any other. The duo’s fashion label, Greta Constantine, has garnered an impressive lineup of clients and celebrity devotees, from Hollywood’s PYT’s to top fashion icons like Naomi Campbell and Iman, thanks to their to-die-for dresses and right-now sensibility. I caught up with Stephen and Kirk leading up to the launch of their new bridal collection for Kleinfeld to chat about business, ageless beauty and, yes, bridezillas...

My One-on-One with Sunny Fong

Ask any fashionable Canadian for a Top 3 of her favourite homegrown designers and she’ll inevitably answer "Sunny Fong." The Toronto-born designer’s edgy aesthetic, signature exquisite detail and pretty-yet-bad-ass designs have fired up red carpets, the small screen (Fong won Season 2 of Project Runway Canada) and Canadian streets since the launch of his label, VAWK, in 2004.

I caught up with VAWK designer, Sunny Fong for iVillage.ca and true to rumour he’s not only nice, but smart, funny and disarmingly down-to-earth (read: Sunny, can we please be friends?)...

Name to Know: Pontus & Hawke

Precious Metal 'Diamond Style' Ring ($325), Skinny Kayan Stackable Rings (starting at $90 each), and Skinny Revolver Ring ($225),  all at Pontus & Hawke

Loving these cool made in Canada gems from the stylish sisters behind Pontus & Hawke.  The Toronto-based company makes edgy yet eco-conscious jewels made from .935 recycled Argentium Silver, perfect for sensitive souls since it's both tarnish resistant and hypoallergenic.  Pontus & Hawke is starting to gain some serious cred with recent features in Style at Home mag and shout-outs by the Coveteur for their shoot-em-up revolver ring.  Adore! Is it too late to add these to my Christmas list?
