#WIN IT | A Holiday Beauty Boost from pürminerals and TSC

I'll be honest - my pre-kid self wasn't all that discerning. Like wine, I'd pick makeup based mostly on the packaging (doesn't everyone?), without giving much thought to what ingredients it contained. Since I'm super careful about the products I give my kids, I now try to be more thoughtful about my own skincare regimen, too.

I started using Pür Minerals products a few months ago and have become a complete convert. It goes on light, never looks cakey, and helps me look glowy and well-rested after those nights (make that most nights) when I'm short on sleep.

The Shopping Channel just sent me the brand new  Pür Minerals 5PC Holiday Pürfection Collection to test out, just in time for party season. The set includes:

o   Pur Minerals 4-IN-1 Pressed Mineral Powder with SPF 15 -$32.00

o   Pur Minerals Fall Matte Pallette- NEW- $35.00

o   Pur Minerals Chisel Brush- $26.00

o   Pur Minerals Lip gloss in Tickled -20.00

o   Pur Minerals Eye Pencil in Hello Bright Eyes W/ Smudger -$19.50

o   Total Value: $132.50

While the set normally retails for $79.99, the Pür Minerals 5PC Holiday Pürfection Collection launches this week as the daily Today’s Showstopper at The Shopping Channel for only $47.95. Um, crazy good deal for this set. Sale starts this Friday, Dec. 12 at 10 p.m. ET and ends Sat., Dec. 13 at 10 p.m. ET  - or until quantities last.

Now for the fun part:

The Shopping Channel has given me an extra Pür Minerals 5PC Holiday Pürfection Collection set to give away to one of you!

Here's how to win it.

WIN IT: The New Boutiques on eBay.ca

Currently renting a cottage and cute husband was gone so I had to be resourceful with this one...

As eBay Canada's Fashion Expert, I can always count on the site to keep my wardrobe up-to-date without breaking the bank. And while I've scored some amazing designer finds on eBay.ca, it's the Canadian pieces that mean the most to me.  In an effort to help support local boutiques and independent designers, eBay Canada has launched its brand new Boutiques on eBay, featuring uniquely gorgeous pieces from homegrown designers. This month, eBay has teamed up with Toronto fashion boutique, Coal Miner's Daughter to feature handmade designs from Jool Clothing, Jordan de Ruiter, Haller, Sara Duke, 3rd Floor Studio and Norwegian Wood.

The line is available exclusively at ebay.ca/boutiqueSS14 until June 30th with all pieces priced under $90 plus free shipping all across Canada. Amazing, right?

My personal fav is the Haller Isabelle Dress (pictured above), with its super sexy lace back and drapey yet lightweight fabric. I actually need to wear a bra (don't most of us?) so wasn't sure if I could pull off the style but I simply wear a black bra, undo the clasp and tuck in the sides of the bra. It's stretchy and tight enough to keep everything in place, even without your bra done up, though of course you could head to a lingerie shop for a bra designed for backless dresses, too. I'm just frugal and time-strapped (read: cheap and lazy) at the moment. Plus, I love that you can wear it dressed way up or down, depending on the occasion of the day - see below for a few cute ways to wear it, though you could also wear it as a maxi skirt (with a sweater layered over top and an arm party full of metallic bracelets), with a blazer for work, or even with a neon bandeau underneath for festival season.

Okay, now for the cool part: to celebrate the line (and to share this stunner of a dress), eBay is offering RLR readers the chance to win a $75 gift card to Boutiques on eBay so you can score a special piece of your own.

Here's how to win it:

1. Leave a comment below telling me your best ever score on eBay.ca (or if you haven't shopped the site, tell me which piece you'd love to own from the new Boutiques on eBay.)

2. For a bonus entry, tweet the following '@realliferunway & @eBayCanada are giving away a GC to shop the new Boutiques on eBay and I want to #win! http://bit.ly/1miXO2w'

3. Contest closes this Thursday, June 26th at 5 pm.

4. Contest open to residents of Canada only.

5. Good luck, y'all!

An eBay Canada Twitter Giveaway: Outfit 2

It's the Monday before Christmas and all through my house, well, it's chaos. And so, please forgive the unwordiness of this post. And similarly, please forgive the use of words that don't exist (see: unwordiness). And instead, focus solely on this gorgeous look from eBay.ca. If you entered last week's contest, you probably know what's coming. eBay.ca has given me this beautiful look including a stunning brand new wool moto jacket from Guess (photo does not do it justice) and a long and lovely floral maxi (both size XS) to go with. (I featured both on The Morning Show).

Here's how to win this look:

1) Follow @eBayCanada and @realliferunway on Twitter.

2) Tweet the following ' &  are giving away a perfect wool moto jacket. Details here: . RT to !'

3) Contest closes this Friday, Dec 27th at 5 pm.

Bonne chance and check back for outfit #3 later this week. If I don't talk to you in the next few days (unlikely since I'll be busy stuffing my stockings and my face), happy, happy holidays and Christmas to you! Hope it's the merriest yet.

Win It: A Vawk & Zara Giveaway from eBay

Though my life is always busy (whose life isn't?), things have been particularly frenzied this past month with my new gig as ambassador for eBay.ca. Between radio interviews and tv appearances on shows like CH Morning Live (see the segment here) and The Morning Show on Global, I've been criss-crossing southwestern Ontario talking about new mom style and dishing about the new, improved eBay.ca.

I'll admit that aside from actual 'work', online shopping has taken up a fair bit of my time of late (bites lip, looks mildly apologetic). I used to think that eBay was an auction house, a place where you went to bid and wait and bid again and, really, it all just seemed a little complicated to me. But here's the thing. eBay has evolved, big time, and you can now go online and shop retailers and sellers around the globe and buy right away. How's that for instant gratification?

It's super easy, highly worthwhile, and I have a new Club Monaco dress, cobalt blue Narciso Rodriguez coat and J.Crew sweater to prove it. #score. Apparently I'll have to also start hawking some of my things on eBay to fund my new habit...

Okay, giveaway time: My new friends at eBay have generously offered up a VAWK by Sunny Fong manta capelet and a stunning pair of gold brocade Zara pants (size small) exclusively to RLR readers.

Here's how to win this perfect party outfit, just in time for the start of holiday season:

1) Leave a comment below telling me why you want to win this look.

2) Follow @eBayCanada on Twitter.

3) For a bonus entry, tweet the following '@realliferunway & @eBayCanada are giving away a perfect party outfit and I want to #win! http://bit.ly/1c5cWdp'

3) Contest closes next Thursday, Oct 17th at 5 pm. I'll announce the winner Fri morning!

Good luck and happy shopping on eBay. It's dangerous, I'm warning you (see below for the cute looks I picked up for The Morning Show segment)

Win 1 of 3 $500 Shopping Sprees with Oshawa Centre 'Style Approved' Campaign

A tee to L.O.V.E. from Smart Set

As a fashion blogger, I hardly ever get to shop. Sure, I stare at clothes all day and write about the latest trends but as for actual physical, down-and-dirty shopping, it's a very rare treat. You might think my world is all changerooms and chargecards, but the reality of my little blogosphere is me, tied to a chair, getting intimate with Carpal Tunnel and trying to recall what my ballet teacher taught me about posture (Shoulders back! Chin up! Oui, oui!)

So when Oshawa Centre asked me to be one of their 'Style Approved' Experts (along with 4 other amazing blogettes) and spend a few days trendhunting at their mall, I was totally game. Our mission? Visit Oshawa Centre, check out all the stores, and take pics of our top fall fashion finds to be posted on the new Oshawa Centre Style Approved Pinterest Board

I live in a small town where fashion selection is pretty much nil. In a large haystack (literally in my case), I can always find that needle, especially if said needle has high heels or a sparkly finish. The minute I walked into Oshawa Centre and saw the huge selection of stores, I knew I had this assignment in the bag - I checked out H&M, Pandora, Gap, Hudson's Bay, Danier, Roots, Chapters, Smart Set, ALDO and Town Shoes and snapped away. 30 pics (and several shopping bags) later, my day was complete.  I'm heading back to Oshawa Centre for round 2 this week and can't wait to add more finds to our compendium of fall must-haves. Best. Job. Ever.

Now here's the exciting part: Check out the Oshawa Centre Style Approved Pinterest Board (it's updated daily with our fall finds) and re-pin or 'like' your favourites. No pressure to 'like' mine but I'll love you if you do :) Then, simply head over to Facebook to enter the Oshawa Centre Style Approved Contest for your chance to win 1 of 3 $500 Shopping Sprees to score a new fall wardrobe. Can you imagine?!

Best of luck, beauties! Hope to see you soon at Oshawa Centre! xx
