I've often wondered if there's one shining answer to every fashion dilemma and I'm happy to report that I've found it. What do you wear when you've hit the snooze button one too many times? Black & White. What about those days when you have absolutely nothing to wear? Black & White. A super important interview? Black & White. Something to help you look slimmer? You guessed it - Black and White. The non-colour combo is sometimes overlooked for being 'basic' or 'obvious', but here's the thing about this classic trend - not only does it solve nearly any what-to-wear dilemma but designers have been obsessed with the pairing lately, sending black & white looks down the runways of NY, Milan and Paris all season long. Given what It girls like Rihanna and K. Stew are rocking this week at the Paris Fall '13 Couture shows, looks like B&W is here to stay...

Back to work, back to the week but before I return to guilt-free, let me indulge you in a little fashion fantasy first, if you please? My fashion dream of the season? The Charlotte Olympia Cosmic Collection (aka. The Birthday Shoe), which has been at the top of every editor's wishlist since spring, and is now finally available online at thebay.com.

I'm a Sagittarius and though I sometimes question the actual merit of zodiac signs, I must admit that I'm a Sag through and through: creative, free-spirited, often unable to concentrate, and in love with shoes (the last one is such a part of my DNA that it must be written in the stars...)

Not sure how it happened, but my current sandal sitch is totally de-press-ing. Once-cute flip-flops now look all worn out and while I have plenty of high-heeled sandals, they just don't work for my day to day. I've been on the hunt for the perfect gladiator flat since I saw Isabel Marant's Spring '13 show but have yet to find the perfect pair; Enter these studded gladiators from Zara. RLR & JACOB Present CYBER SPRING

I'm currently in the midst of a full-fledged wardrobe overhaul - hell-bent on purging anything and everything that I don't love and slowly adding in some new recruits.
